Come and join us on our 15 acre organic farm in Waiuku for a day of team building. We have a couple of light physical activities planned where the emphasis is on communicating and working as a team. The activities go at your pace and offer plenty of opportunity for teams to reconnect. At the end of the day the result of the work is obvious - a compost pile, and a cleared area of the forest. Both are very rewarding.

Build a biodynamic compost

Build a compost pile with one of New Zealands leading biodynamic practitioners, Katrina Wolff. This is a wonderful opportunity to create something from nothing - leaves, twigs, grass, weeds, and more when combined together in the correct ration will turn into amazing compost. After about 6 months this is used to grow healthy and delicious organic vegetables.

Remove invasive weeds

This involves going with Jennifer into the native forest area at Permakai and removing invasive weeds and pest plants such as Woolly nightshade (Solanum mauritianum), also known as Tobacco weed, Privet (Ligustrum lucidum), Moth Plant (Araujia hortorum), and others. Herbicides are not something we ever consider so it comes down to manual chopping and pulling, For this we use loppers, saws, and the amazing Extractigator.

Prices

For 5 to 10 people the cost is $1200, and for 11 to 15, the cost is $1800.
Lunch is either BYO or catered. The catering is optional and provided by a local eatery, please see below (we add a 10% surcharge).
Coffee and tea are available during the day for $3.50 per serving.
